Ubah Ali is Wisconsin’s first and the United States of America’s third reporter to wear a hijab on the air. She joined television news station TMJ4 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a reporter and multimedia journalist in March 2021.
Breaking ground as Wisconsin’s first hijab-wearing on-air reporter is “not top-of-mind,” Ali said in an interview with Wisconsin Muslim Journal. “It’s just who I am.”
