Campus Visit FAQs
ArrivalWhat time do I need to arrive for my visit?
Plan to arrive early so you check in 15 minutes prior to your visit time. Visits begin promptly at the stated visit time to allow for everything to be covered and questions to be answered.
ParkingWhere do I park?
Parking instructions can vary for each admissions visit. If you are signing up for a guided admissions visit, parking instructions will be sent directly to your email address. Otherwise, campus parking options can be found SCSU's Parking and Transportation site.
Visit Date AvailabilityAre there days and times campus visits are offered?
Typically, visits are offered during normal business hours, however scheduled visits may reach capacity or the University might be closed on certain days. If you have a special request or would like to inquire about a specific day, please call our Office of Admissions at (320) 308-2244 or email scsu4u@stcloudstate.edu.
Dress and AccessoriesWhat should I wear for my tour?
SCSU visits usually includes a one-hour walking tour of campus. Wear comfortable shoes and casual clothes appropriate for that day's weather. We're Huskies: We give tours rain, snow or shine.

Hotel AccommodationsWhat hotel accommodations are nearby?
If you are coming from far away and need hotel accommodations, Visit Greater St. Cloud has a great website to select a hotel to fit your needs.
Severe WeatherCould my tour be cancelled in severe weather?
In the case of severe weather and the University is closed, scheduled visits will also be cancelled. You will receive a cancellation notification as soon as possible to the contact information used when signing up for a visit.
Athletic Coach RequestCan I meet with a coach on my tour?
The Office of Admissions is not able to schedule athletic appointments. See more information for Prospective Student-Athletes on the Athletics website.
Academic/Student Services Appointment Request Can I speak with an advisor or professor during my tour?
When you register for a visit, you can indicate an interest to speak with academic and student services. We appreciate at least a two week notice for these appointments and do our best to get you scheduled with the requested department.
