Economic Impact Studies
Economic Impact Studies for Central Minnesota Communities
When a business, project, or event operates in your community, it creates economic activity beyond its own walls. CPRCE measures that activity — the direct jobs and spending, the indirect support to local suppliers, and the induced effect of employees spending their paychecks locally — using IMPLAN, the same input-output modeling framework used by economic development agencies nationwide. Every report documents its assumptions and data sources so the numbers hold up under scrutiny.
Plan Details and Add-ons:
- All plans include: personnel time, software licensing, data analysis, report production, in-region travel, and presentation delivery.
- Basic and Comparative tiers use a simplified 2-3 page service agreement; Comprehensive tier uses a full sponsored research agreement through SCSU Research and Sponsored Programs.
- Add-on services for each tier: additional presentations, council testimony, custom visualizations, multi-year projections, or expedited delivery.
