NSF-Noyce STEM Teacher Scholarship

The $1.2 million Husky STEM Teacher program will support at least 24 students providing scholarships and stipends to produce highly-valued Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics teachers who are prepared to address student learning in high-need, diverse school settings.

Husky STEM Teacher Scholars benefits:

Earn $3,000 per year as a Learning Assistant during years two and three.
Earn up to $15,000 per year in scholarships for the last four semesters at St. Cloud State.
Transfer from two-year colleges to complete a four-year degree.
Innovative classroom experiences and mentor opportunities.
Make a tangible and practical difference in the lives of students.

NOYCE HUSKY STEM TEACHER SCHOLAR InTEREST FORM

Details

Husky STEM Teacher Scholars will be selected by St. Cloud State University. In order to be considered, applicants must:

Be enrolled with the intention of completing a double major in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, Chemistry and Chemistry Education, or Physics and Physics Education at St. Cloud State.
Apply and be accepted as a Learning Assistant in Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics courses.
Participate in project activities with the learning community and mentor teachers.
Teach for two years in a high-need K-12 district after graduation.

Current Students

Students currently enrolled in a STEM class at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, St. Cloud Technical & Community College, or St. Cloud State should complete a Learning Assistant application as soon as possible to be considered for the next scholarship rounds.

Prospective students

Students not currently enrolled at AAnoka-Ramsey Community College, St. Cloud Technical & Community College, or St. Cloud State should complete an admissions application and complete a Learning Assistant application to be considered for the next scholarship rounds.
