Biography

Dr. Amy Christensen graduated from the University of Minnesota – Morris with a degree in elementary education and a coaching license.  She graduated from Southwest State University with a Master’s Degree in Education.  She then received her administrative licensure (principal, superintendent, community education director) and Ed.D. in Educational Administration and Leadership from St. Cloud State University. 

In her career, she has served as an elementary classroom teacher and coach, K-8 principal/superintendent, elementary principal, and various positions in higher education, including teaching at the Masters level in both education and coaching programs.   Currently, Dr. Christensen is an assistant professor of K-12 Educational Administration & Leadership here at SCSU.
