Math-Science Computer Camp Program Information

The Math-Science Computer Camp is designed to expose students in grades 3-8 to science, math, and computers in fun and innovative ways. All students are welcome to participate.

The five-day residential program features in-class and outside activities and exercises involving computers, mathematics, and science.

Students in grades 3-8
No previous experience with computers of science required
All eligible students are encouraged to apply

Acceptance Notice
Students will be notified of acceptance after May 20, 2026 or shortly after submission of application materials. Acceptance letters will provide additional information on time, activities, and fee payment. It is difficult to answer questions about status of applications prior to the selection process. Please await notice. Applications that are received after May 1, 2026 may be placed on a waiting list.

Selection Criteria

Willingness to learn and cooperate.
Students in grades 3-8 as of September 2025.
Timeliness of application.
Teacher Recommendation.

Note: Not all applicants may be accepted because of limited capacity.

Cost

All students applying to this program must pay a $10 non-refundable application fee. Tuition fees, ranging from $0-300, are calculated using a sliding scale based on family income. To be considered for a lower payment based on income you must submit your 2024 or 2025 Income Tax return.

Financial Assistance is Available
For financial aid consideration, submit a copy of your tax return (Form 1040 U.S. Individual Income Tax Return 2024 or 2025), which shows the adjusted gross income figure. Some students may qualify for Minnesota summer scholarships. If the applicant qualifies for Free/Reduced Lunch, they can submit the documentation showing that they are eligible instead of the tax return. Total cost for program per student is $1,000.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Tuition fees are due with return of acceptance form. Refunds of the tuition fees will be given only if cancellations are made two weeks prior to program start date.
