Volunteer to be a Regional History Day Judge!

National History Day in Minnesota promotes in-depth research and critical analysis for students in grades 6-12. Students explore historical topics through projects ranging from performances, exhibits and documentary films to websites and research papers. This year’s History Day theme is “Frontiers in History: People, Places, Ideas.”

Judging for History Day is a great way to connect with the local community and impact students across Minnesota. Volunteers are a vital part of making History Day happen.

As a judge you will:

• Review entries in your preferred category
• Evaluate the work of young researchers
• Provide written feedback to students about their projects
• Select projects to advance to state competition

All volunteers must register in advance and attend a judge orientation before judging begins.
