The Center for Economic Education (CEE) strives to develop a well-informed and economically literate citizenry in Central Minnesota by way of the Heartland Economics Challenge, Winter Institute, in-service and pre-service for-credit workshops, short courses, and high-quality curriculum and workshops in Economics for K-12 educators and pre-service teachers.

The CEE is an affiliate of the Minnesota Council on Economic Education (MCEE) and the Council on Economic Education (CEE).

Heartland Challenge

The Heartland Economics Challenge is held on the campus of St. Cloud State University in early spring each year. Teams of high school students compete in a series of tests to demonstrate their knowledge and critical-thinking surrounding economics.

St. Cloud Area Quarterly Business Report

The St. Cloud Area Quarterly Business Report (QBR) presents a quarterly analysis of economic and business conditions in the St. Cloud (Minnesota) region, including an Executive Summary, analysis of the results of the St. Cloud Area Business Outlook Survey, the St. Cloud Index of Leading Economic Indicators, a recession probability index for the St. Cloud area, and a discussion of local data.
