Senior, Capstone and Research Projects
Senior design, capstone, and research projects provide students with hands-on, real-world experience by partnering with industry to solve meaningful challenges. Working individually or in small teams, students collaborate with faculty and employers over one or more semesters to develop innovative solutions, conduct research, and present their findings. These projects give organizations the opportunity to engage with emerging talent, contribute ideas or resources, and gain fresh perspectives on complex problems—all while helping prepare students for successful careers.
Short Term Programs
Huskies Invent is a weekend “Inventathon” where students work in teams for 48 hours to tackle real-world challenges presented by business enterprises. The experience culminates with teams presenting their solutions through a prototype, white paper, and final presentation. Faculty and mentors from participating organizations support teams as technical resource experts throughout the event.
Huskies Hack is a 24 to 48 hour "hackathon" where students work on a software or hardware challenge for a company.
Both events offer sponsorship opportunities and ways for employers to observe and engage with upcoming talent.
