The applied doctorate in Educational Administration and Leadership is designed for experienced school leaders to provide a practical, rigorous, and meaningful advanced program of study to enhance skills, knowledge, and dispositions to successfully meet the demands associated with the leadership of schools and school systems operating in dynamic political, social, cultural, and economic areas.

As an established or emerging leader, you'll enjoy a comprehensive, practitioner-focused program that will sharpen your skills to effectively lead PK-12 schools and districts. Plus, you further refine your skills in the areas that most interest you. And, you'll grow as a leader.

You'll enjoy engaging and interactive learning experiences that accommodate working professionals. Students varied professional backgrounds provide enriching and engaging discussions in which you learn with and from your peers. Together you will advance your knowledge and improve practices in your field.

This is a terminal degree program which will interface with administrative licensure programs offered at the Post Masters graduate level.  The program increases skills and builds rewarding career opportunities for the professional practice of educational administration throughout the world.  Graduates are prepared to design and conduct doctoral level research focused on practical and applied problem-solving.

  • Select your own dissertation research topic
  • Ability to earn your degree in three years, with two years of coursework and one year of research
  • Apply up to 27 credits (max. 12 M.S. and/or 27 Post-M.S./Specialist/Doctorate) toward doctoral elective courses
  • No GRE application requirement
