Our site is designed to provide you with a general overview of financial aid programs and give you guidance in the application process.  We sincerely hope that the services and financial aid we offer will help you achieve your educational goals at St. Cloud State University.

Important Dates and Deadlines

Summer Sessions

May 11th:  Deadline to meet with an assistant director regarding consortium agreement for summer 2009
June 3rd: Summer drop for non-payment deadline
June 9th: Deadline to submit consortium agreement for summer 2009
June 10th: Summer Pell Grant awards based on the credits you are enrolled in on this day.
If you add a class after June 10, your Pell Grant will not be increased based on this change in credits.
June 11th: Aid applies to SCSU account for summer
June 16th: Direct deposit available for summer
June 17th: Disbursement checks mailed to local address on file for summer
June 30th: 2008-2009 FAFSA deadline
July 30th: Late fee applied to account for unpaid summer balance
July 31st: Deadline for 2009 Summer Financial Aid Application
August 6th: Summer loan request forms and loan applications due in the Financial Aid Office
October 15th: Scholarship application deadline - Transfer student for spring 2010 (Admissions office)

Academic Year

Fall Semester  
August 7, 2009: Deadline to meet with an assistant director regarding fall 2009 consortium agreement
August 10th: Drop for non-payment deadline for fall 2009
August 24th: Fall classes begin
August 30th: Deadline to submit consortium agreement for fall 2009
August 31st: Fall Pell Grant awards based on the credits you are enrolled in on this day.
If you add a class after August 31st your Pell Grant will not be increased based on this change in credits.
September 1st: Financial aid applies to accounts for fall 2009
September 4th: Direct deposit available for fall
September 8th: Fall disbursement checks mailed to local address on file
September 16th:  Late fee applied to account for unpaid fall semester balance
September 23rd:  FAFSA deadline for Minnesota State Grant and Minnesota Achieve Scholarship for fall 2009
November 2nd:

Final due date for fall tuition and fees. Registration hold if full payment is not made by this date.

   
Spring Semester  
December 15, 2009 Scholarship application deadline - First Year Student in fall 2010 (Admission Office)
December 24, 2009 Deadline to meet with an assistant director regarding spring 2010 consortium agreement
December 28th:  Drop for non-payment deadline for spring 2010
January 2, 2010:  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2010-2011 available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
January 11th:  Spring classes begin
January 18th:  Deadline to submit consortium agreement for spring 2010
January 19th: Spring Pell Grant awards based on the credits you are enrolled in on this day.
If you add a class after January 19th your Pell Grant will not be increased based on this change in credits.
January 20th: Financial aid applies to accounts for spring 2010
January 25th: Scholarship application deadline for Foundation-Sponsored in fall 2010 (Admissions office)
January 26th: Direct deposit available for spring
January 27th: Spring disbursement checks mailed to local address on file
February 3rd: Late fee applied to account for unpaid balance for spring
February 10th: FAFSA deadline for Minnesota State Grant and Minnesota Achieve Scholarship for spring 2010
March 15th: Scholarship application deadline - Transfer student in fall 2010 (Admissions office)
October 15th:

Scholarship application deadline - Transfer student for spring 2011 (Admissions office)
