Grants

Housing Grant: Responsible for the application and administration of a housing grant for the community of Wood Lake.  This grant provided funding for the development of low cost apartments by renovation of an old commercial building.

Student Teaching Assessment Grant: As a recipient of an assessment grant, I completed an assessment of the student teaching experience for the Technology Education Majors within the department.  This involved the development of a survey based on our accreditation guideline, and administering that survey to all of the student teachers and their supervisors during that semester.

Graduate Studies Assessment Grant: This project will be to assess student learning through a review of the Thesis and Starred Papers that have been completed recently in the department.  This will result in campus wide and department specific criteria for future graduate students developing these types of documents as well as assess the effectiveness of the graduate program to prepare students to develop these documents through research.

Teaching with Technology Project Grant: I developed a proposal for the Environmental & Technological Studies and the Aviation Department to secure funding for technology for classrooms in Headley Hall.  This project was funded through SCSU Foundation, Sponsored Programs, COSE Dean's Office and the two departments.  The project secured $16,000 for purchasing equipment for the building for smart classrooms.   This allowed for the development of 4 new smart classrooms.

Headley Hall Finishing System Project Grant: I developed a proposal for the department to secure funding for a finishing system for Headley Hall.  This grant money was used with department money to purchase the equipment.
