Teacher Licensure

Applying for Teacher Licensure

The Minnesota Department of Education Educator Licensing Division and the Minnesota Board of Teaching were merged to form the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). All licensing for educators is managed through the PELSB.

St. Cloud State University urges you to apply for Teacher Licensure as soon as you complete the program and additional requirements. Please note: Standards for teaching licensure change over time and although you may qualify for a Minnesota Teaching License today, additional course work, testing, etc. may be required to fulfill the required teaching licensure standards in the future.
