17th Annual Student Research Colloquium

St. Cloud State University's annual campus-wide Student Research Colloquium (SRC) promotes research, scholarship and creative work in collaboration with faculty as a vital component of higher education. Faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students from St. Cloud State University and regional universities are encouraged to participate. Industry sponsors are also invited to attend.

The goal of the SRC is to bring together students, faculty and members of the community involved in scholarly and artistic activities representing a range of disciplines, including creative arts, mathematics, business, social science, humanities, physical and life sciences and engineering.

Paper Presentations

  • 15-20 min. oral presentation (incl. time for questions)
  • May include panel discussion
  • If not participating in the competition, no formal paper needed
  • Guidelines

Poster Presentations

  • 4' x 8' poster board with stand will be provided
  • Guidelines

Performances/Creative Works

  • Similar to activities at a professional fine arts conference or festival
  • Limited to 40 min. (incl. time for discussion)
  • Guidelines

POSTER PRINTING - Posters for the Student Research Colloquium are eligible for a $40 credit towards the cost of poster printing through Copies Plus in Atwood. Starting March 10 through April 8, 2014, the credit will be applied on a first-come first-serve basis to the first 25 posters. The credit can only be applied toward the cost of poster printing. Limit of one $40 credit per poster. Recommended poster size is no more than 36" high x 48" long.
