18th Annual Student Research Colloquium

The Student Research Colloquium (SRC) is an annual, campus-wide event at St. Cloud State University. As a vital component of higher education, it promotes research, scholarship, and creative works across a range of disciplines; along with the collaboration of faculty and community involvement.

2015 will mark the 18th year of this prestigious event! Faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students from St. Cloud State University and regional universities are encouraged to participate in a variety of capacities. An invitation to attend is also extended to industry sponsors.

Paper Presentations

  • 15-20 min. oral presentation (incl. time for questions)
  • May include panel discussion
  • If not participating in the competition, no formal paper needed
  • Guidelines

Poster Presentations

Performances/Creative Works

  • Similar to activities at a professional fine arts conference or festival
  • Limited to 40 min. (incl. time for discussion)

POSTER PRINTING - The cost to print a standard 30 x 40 poster at Copies Plus is $25. However, students who register to present a poster during the SRC are eligible for a $25 credit that can be used towards the cost of poster printing at Copies Plus in Atwood. Funding is provided through the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. Additional costs such as: printing a larger poster, laminating, foam board mounting, etc. are the student's responsibility.

Beginning March 10, 2015 the credit will be applied on a first-come first-serve basis. There is a limit of 40 awards; with a maximum of one (1) $25 credit per poster. Students who present as a group are not eligible to receive multiple credits for the same poster.
