Abba Pregnancy Resource Center

Abba Pregnancy Resource Center works with men and women experiencing a crisis pregnancy in making an informed decision. Counselors are available to assist in the decision making process. Located in Elk River. Assistance offered is free at all times. Abba PRC identifies with Christianity and does not discriminate in providing services because of race, creed, color, nation origin, age, or marriage status of their clients.


Birthline offers information, education, support, prenatal medical exams, and post abortion counseling. They also offer a Stepping Stones program that offers incentives like clothing, car seats, gas, and groceries as clients progress through the program. Clients of Birthline will also receive Doula support at no cost. Located in St.. Cloud. All services are free and confidential. Birthline identifies with Christianity and gladly serves anyone experiencing an unexpected pregnancy regardless of age, race, religion, income, or beliefs.

Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities of St. Cloud offers pregnancy counseling addressing decision making skills, identifying personal values, clarifying personal needs, exploring relationships, meeting the child's best interests, and addressing financial situations. A Birth Parent Support Group is also offered. The goal of Catholic Charities is to help women and men make the best decision for themselves and their baby. Resource referral and facilitation of legal procedures for termination of parental rights is also offered. There is no fee for pregnancy counseling, adoption services for birth parents, or the Birth Parent Support Group.

Children's Home Society & Family Services

Children's Home Society of Minnesota offers decision making counseling and complete adoption services to birth parents in Minnesota. Children's Home Society can facilitate any type of adoption, including agency, independent, and interstate adoptions. The agency supports open adoption, where the birth parents and adoptive parents meet, choose each other, plan the type of adoption based on the best interest of everyone involved, and maintain an ongoing relationship after placement. Located in St. Paul. Children's Home Society is a licensed, nonprofit, nonsectarian agency.

New Beginnings

New Beginnings is a 24-hour intensive residential program for pregnant women, new mothers and their babies. New Beginnings serves women ages 14 through 21 years of age providing a safe, secure residence while fostering self-esteem, education growth, and skills of living, parenting and decision making. Mothers can stay at New Beginnings with their babies for up to one year after the baby is born or 48 days of placing the baby for adoption. Services of an in-house licensed social worker / case manager, outside speakers and educators, group activities and childbirth education are also offered. Services are offered on a sliding fee scale.

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood of St. Cloud offers pregnancy testing, abortion referrals, adoption referrals, and education. Services differ slightly depending on which health center location clients are looking at. Please contact the health center of interest in order to obtain information on pricing. Planned Parenthood supports and welcomes clients regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or biological sex, including but not limited to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and intersex clients.

Pregnancy Resource Center Medical Clinic

Pregnancy Resource Center offers free pregnancy testing along with peer counseling regarding available options. Help with planning for parenting and education on pregnancy, along with referrals for adoption are also available. All services are free and confidential.

*Many County Social Services also provide a wide range of services that may include pregnancy and decision making regarding parenting or adoption plans, adoption services, information and referrals to other community resources, and in-home family services. Contact your county to see what is offered.

WIC (Women, Infants and Children)-

The WIC program provides Nutrition Education, Healthy Foods, and Health Services to women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or just had a baby.  Services and programs are based on income.
