Summer Policies

Housing is available on a priority basis during intersession and summer sessions. Application acceptance and room assignment are based on availability and these criteria:

  • Spring semester students who are enrolled in courses, contracted to live in University housing for the spring semester, and will be enrolled for courses during either the intersession and/or regular summer session(s), and have completed an application and prepayment for housing.
  • Students who will be enrolled for courses during either the intersession and/or regular summer session(s), and have completed an application and prepayment for housing, and also have completed an application and are contracted to live in University housing for the upcoming fall semester (requires a completed application and prepayment for fall semester).
  • Students who will be enrolled for courses during either the intersession and/or regular summer session(s), and have completed an application and prepayment for housing.
  • Students who are contracted to live in University housing for the upcoming fall semester, and/or the preceding spring semester, and require summer housing in lieu of returning home in between spring and fall semesters due to extreme distance. Student must have completed an application and prepayment for summer housing.
  • Students who are contracted to live in University housing for the upcoming fall semester, and/or the preceding spring semester, but need summer housing to assist with University employment, research, internship, or other non-credit bearing University related activity that can be documented through a sponsoring department. Student must complete an application and prepayment for summer housing.

All other requests for summer housing will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and have the lowest priority.

Room assignment requires a completed housing agreement and a $100 prepayment/proof of payment. Room assignment is based on date of completed agreement and priority groups noted above.
