Student Jobs

Community Advisor

Each residential community has a Community Advisor (CA) living on each floor and area.

They are full-time students trained to assist and support floor members. The CA takes part in day-to-day activities and plans events.

The primary hiring period is spring semester. 

Apartment Community Advisor

At Coborn Plaza Apartments and Stateview, the Apartment Community Advisor is a trained, full-time student who assists and supports residents.

The primary hiring period is spring semester.

Desk Assistant

Students approved for work-study, through Student Registration & Financial Services, can work as Desk Assistants. Apply through our online application.

Customer service and mail distribution are among the job responsibilities. Hours vary, but typically fall between 8 a.m. and midnight.

Summer Conference Crew Member

 

Cleaners, movers, night security and desk receptionists are needed to staff summer conferences. The primary hiring period is spring semester.

A Residence Hall Director is the supervisor and administrative leader for a residential community.

Community Council

Community Council is your opportunity to have a voice in the operation of your residential community. From establishing policies to planning events, Community Council is a leadership and friendship opportunity.

Residence Hall Association

Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the representative body for St. Cloud State's residential communities.

It is a voice for students when student policies and university policies are at issue. RHA offers civic, cultural, social, educational and recreational programming.

It is composed of three elected representatives from each residential community, interested on-campus students and the executive board. The executive board is:

  • President
  • Vice President of Internal Affairs
  • Vice President of Administration
  • Vice President of Finance
  • National Communications Coordinator
  • Vice President of Technology
  • Vice President of Philanthropy
  • Vice President of Social Affairs (two positions)

Any on-campus student can run for an RHA representative position, be a general body member, or simply participate in RHA-sponsored events. Events include Husky Kick Off, national and regional conferences, Battle of the Hall Stars, Community Council Kick Off and the Spring Dinner Dance. RHA also works with the Welcome & Finals Kit program and the EAGLE scholarship. RHA meets 4 p.m. Mondays in the Cascade Room, Atwood Memorial Center.

National Residence Hall Honorary

National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) represents the top 1 percent of on-campus student leaders. These leaders maintain a strong academic focus while working to strengthen their residential communities.
New members are inducted each spring based on nominations by NRHH members and Residential Life staff members.
The St. Cloud State chapter sponsors recognition activities, including a scholarship and the Birthday Bash program that delivers a gift basket and balloon to students on their birthday.
