The requirements to remain a First Year Early Admission Nursing Program Student are as follows:
Students will be notified by mail if they have been selected as one of the First Year Early Admission Nursing Program students in February or March of their senior year in high school.
If a student were to not uphold the requirements for the First Year Early Admission Nursing Program they would no longer be eligible to be a part of the First Year Early Admission Nursing Program and would have to compete for one of the 40 spots in the program.
Early Admission students are subject to the same preadmission and liberal education course requirements as found in the University Catalog.
Early Admission students are required to submit a nursing application with all supporting materials by the deadline for the semester in which they wish to begin the program. All application criteria and processes, including the HESI exam with fees, will be adhered to by early admission students.
Please note, due to placement exams and prerequisite courses, a student who is enrolled in the First Year Early Admission Nursing Program is not guaranteed to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in four years.
