Pharmacy

Moving to Eastman Hall- June 3

As we are completing our move to Eastman Hall, our pharmacy service to campus will be briefly interrupted. Here’s what you need to know:

  • The pharmacy will be open in Hill Hall on Monday, June 3 and begin service again on Monday, June 10 in Eastman Hall.
  • If a prescription is needed immediately during June 4-7, please have the doctor send it to a different pharmacy.
  • If the prescription is not needed immediately, it can still be sent to St. Cloud State Pharmacy and will be filled June 10.
  • If refills are needed during June 4-7 please call your doctor and have them phone the prescription to a local pharmacy for one refill.
  • If you are a patient of the St. Cloud State Medical Clinic, please call the clinic (320-308-3193) to request that your refill be temporarily send to another pharmacy.

The pharmacy carries prescription and non-prescription products at reduced prices. We can fill prescriptions from any medical provider and can also transfer your home prescription so you can conveniently get your refills on campus. To transfer a prescription, stop by the pharmacy with your prescription label.

Who can use the pharmacy?

The pharmacy fills prescriptions for:

  • St. Cloud State students
  • St. Cloud State employees
  • Children and spouses of students and employees

Transfer a prescription

To transfer a prescription, bring in the prescription label and our pharmacy staff will do the rest. The process takes five minutes or less. It is, however, a good idea to start the transfer process several days before the medication is needed as we will need to call the doctor if there are no refills left at the other pharmacy.

If you have questions, stop by the pharmacy or call 320-308-4852. Medical Clinic and Pharmacy is located in Eastman Hall.

Pay for a prescription

If students are not able to pay the co-pay for prescriptions, they are able to charge the amount to their student account for payment later. Picking up your prescription when you need it and paying for it when you are able- it's a great service for St. Cloud State students.

Most people have separate insurance cards for pharmacy, so remember to bring both cards with you. You may find that many of our prescriptions cost less than your co-pay.

Prescription co-pays for employees or dependents must be paid at time of service.

Use a dropbox to safely dispose of unwanted or expired medications. It's essential for the health of our physical environment, and it prevents misuse of medications. Thanks to a donation from the Justin Pearson Foundation, and a collaboration between U-Choose and the Medical Clinic and Pharmacy, St. Cloud State offers a safe, secure way to dispose of unwanted and expired medications.

Accepted items include: vitamins, prescriptions, pet medications, prescription ointments, patches and over-the-counter medications.

We cannot accept: needles, inhalers, aerosol cans, thermometers, lotions and liquids.
