Color In Film

This year the LGBT Resource Center is launching a film series called "Color In Film". This film series showcases the lived experiences of queer and trans people of color. Please join us once a month to experience incredible films that not only expand the representation and visibility of folk of color in film, but also disrupt common narratives told in queer media.

Fall films include:

Sept. 20 - "Pariah"

Oct. 18 - "Paris is Burning"

Nov. 8 - "The Way He Looks"

Films are 5:30 p.m. in Centennial Hall 100. Discussions follow the films. October is LGBT History Month.

LGBT Resource Center will be sponsoring events and activities to celebrate incredible, colorful, queer and trans history.

The Big Picture

Participate in our annual photo event 10:50 a.m. Oct. 5 on the Atwood Memorial Center porch. A reception with cake and refreshments will follow at the LGBT Resource Center. See a gallery of photos from our 2016 Big Picture.

Coming Out Open Mic Night

Join the LGBT Resource Center in celebrating National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11.

To celebrate LGBT+ narratives, we will be hosting a Coming Out Open Mic Night in Atwood Quarry at 5:30 p.m.  Perform and share your story through poetry, spoken work, dance, slam poetry, song etc.

Whether you identify as part of the LGBT+ community, or are an ally, come to cheer on those who will be sharing their stories.
