Color In Film

This year the LGBT Resource Center is launching a film series called "Color In Film". This film series showcases the lived experiences of queer and trans people of color. Please join us once a month to experience incredible films that not only expand the representation and visibility of folk of color in film, but also disrupt common narratives told in queer media.

Films include:

Jan. 31 - "Blackbird"

Feb. 28 - "Spa Night"

March 28 - "Pearl of Africa"

Films are 5:30 p.m. in Centennial Hall 100. Discussions follow.

The Story Project

Are you Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Queer Identified?

Who are you? What makes you tick? What brought you here?

We want to interview LGBT+ identified students, faculty, staff, and alumni at St. Cloud State. Whatever you have to say, we want to hear it.

In order to be as transparent as possible, we have included the interview questions. The Story Project Interview Questions are as follows:

  1. Can you describe yourself and some of your identities? Who are you?
  2. Tell me your story. This is whatever you feel is important to share and what you feel comfortable sharing.
  3. What stereotypes do you face as a _______________ person?
  4. What do you wish people knew about the LGBT+ community? About yourself?
  5. What frustrates you?
  6. Is there anything else you would like to share or say?

We also want to make it clear that The Story Project will be shown at an event(s) only at St. Cloud State University.

Sign up for an interview time. Interviews will typically last 15-20 minutes. Dates, times, and locations are listed below:

  • 10 a.m.- noon Jan. 24
