IT is dedicated to meeting the needs of our campus community. Accordingly, we worked collaboratively with campus constituents, especially academic and administrative leadership, between October 2019 and February 2020 to strategically prioritize the following list of large, campus-wide projects.

Program Changes Enhancements  New “Program Change Application” that is accessible to all user groups with built-in quality control measures, flexibility for multiple approvers, ability to view request history, maintain current major and minor programs and permissions-based access. On Hold
Huskies Connect Event Attendance Integration  Increase student engagement by integrating student data with HuskiesConnect application to be able to utilize event attendance tracking, paths and generate data for additional reporting. In Progress
AEFIS Implementation  Implementation of new assessment planning solution with seamless integration to ISRS and single sign-on for access control. In Progress
HIPAA Compliance (from 2015 Risk Assessment)  Review and analyze an assessment report to develop a plan of action for meeting HIPPA compliance requirements. Not Started
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Cluster Sunset Migration or retirement of databases hosted on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 cluster that is no longer supported by the vendor. Completed

Adobe Connect/Zoom/Mediaspace Transitions

MHSRC: Online Registration System  Identify and secure highly restricted data that is collected and stored by the MHSRC Online Registration System.  In Progress
University PCI Review Process & Procedure Identify all of the areas where PCI data is collected, stored and transmitted to ensure compliance and proper security measures. Take steps to remediate any issues. On Hold
Security: Top 5 Initiative – Data Classification & Security  Minnesota State Office has required that St. Cloud State identifies data owners and data custodians and that these individuals classify and secure all data that they maintain. This phase includes completion of inventory and classification of campus-wide data hosted on-premises and by SaaS / Cloud providers. Not Started
Genetec Security System Upgrade (HEAPR Funding)  An expansion of cameras coverage, addition of card access points and enhancements to back-end infrastructure funded by HEAPR grant. In Progress
Migrate Data Warehouse to Azure  Move the decision support system data warehouse, report marts, end user reporting solutions, data transfer, and data access technologies to the cloud. On Hold
NextGen at SCSU  NextGen is Minnesota State’s process to adopt a new technology landscape to support students, faculty, and staff at our 37 state colleges and universities across Minnesota. St. Cloud State University will continue to play its role in supporting this system-wide initiative. In Progress
HBNHC Clear Comm Technology  Systems and network upgrades to ensure that Herb Brooks National Hockey Center is game ready to support in-house communications, television and radio broadcasting. Not Started
Halenbeck Hall Strength and Conditioning Center  The Halenbeck Hall varsity strength and conditioning center is on track for significant remodeling in summer 2020. Included in initial concepts are networked television and sound for training purposes. In Progress
Electronic Accommodations Request  Digitization and streamlining of a process for students to request that their accommodation notifications be sent to their faculty. This will replace an existing paper form that is handled manually. Not Started
