Information Technology Services (ITS) utilizes a request process to secure technical resolutions in a timely, efficient and strategic manner and provide increased communications back to requestors. To ensure IT initiatives are aligned with University priorities, the ITS leadership team works in collaboration with University Vice Presidents.

To provide transparency to the campus community, IT projects that have been reviewed, approved and prioritized by the Vice Presidents and are currently being worked on, are listed below.

Office of Clinical Experiences Application Re-write (On Hold) Rewrite the Office of Clinical Experiences Application that facilitates quality field experience and student teaching placements for teacher candidates in the School of Education, in preparation for their roles as future educators
Data Classification & Security Minnesota State Office has required that SCSU identifies data owners and data custodians; and that these individuals classify and secures all data that they maintain.
Migrate Data Warehouse to Azure Move the decision support system data warehouse, report marts, end user reporting solutions, data transfer, and data access technologies to the cloud.
Secured Computing Portfolio To better protect the assets and users of SCSU, a project is being undertaken to increase how computers and access are secured in the environment.
Critical IT infrastructure A critical backbone (infrastructure) plays a large role in ensuring Campus computing resources are available when students, staff and faculty need them. In order to provide the services needed for the Campus, a project is being undertaken to ensure the infrastructure is being brought up to date for the environment.
Eastman Hall renovation Renovation of Eastman Hall into new student health center.
RFP for Recreation Management System Project to complete a RFP for replacement of the current Campus Recreation management software.
Unified Messaging Voice Mail Update Unified Messaging Voice Mail needs an update to continue service due to Microsoft discontinuing current support configuration.
Computer Administrative Rights Management Project to ensure people have the minimum required rights on their computer to do their work.
Records and Registration Prerequisite Application Bring Records and Registration Prerequisite Application back online after Minnesota State's changes to how prereq's are coded in ISRS.
Digital Signage Update The Digital Signage Update involves more than 60 screens on campus, the Welcome Center and St. Cloud State at Plymouth, and will feature upgraded design and template options along with a new workflow for content and design that will improve service and quality.
Branding and Strategic Communication Portfolio: Implement internal communications strategy Project to implement SalesForce to more effectively communicate with internal audiences.
Windows 10 Implementation Upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 operating system in classroom, general access labs, and make available for employee computers.
