Doug Devens now manages the sterilization assurance new product laboratory in 3M's Infection Prevention Division.
His initial work was in fluid mechanics and heat transfer in polymer processing, and he has more than 12 years in the medical device industry and has worked in roles of increasing responsibility in quality, process development and R&D.
He has had significant experience developing processes and products for 510k, PMA and per other international market regulations while working at Boston Scientific, American Medical Systems and 3M.
He has trained and mentored engineers in the application of engineering tools and use of statistics in decision-making.
