Susan Petersen-Stejskal is the vice president of clinical research at BioControlMedical.
She has more than 25 combined years of experience in research in the clinical setting and in industry (pharmaceutical and active implantable devices). She has led three original panel track FDA PMA submissions with more than 20 PMA-S requiring prospective clinical data in both large and small start-up companies throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.
She has been employed by Medtronic with responsibility for pre market regulatory and clinical research activities in the cardiac rhythm management business. She has also been responsible for set up of clinical research and reimbursement at smaller start-up companies Cardiac Concepts and Angeion.
She was first employed a registered nurse in the areas of oncology (bone marrow transplant) and cardiology (heart failure) at the University of Minnesota Hospital with focus on research methodology and data collection for six years before transitioning to industry-sponsored research.
