Huskies First Four

Community Partners & Sponsors

Downtown St. Cloud

Our staff is busy making preparations to welcome nearly 4,000 new student Huskies to our St. Cloud community this August through our Huskies First Four: Days program, a four-day orientation.

What does this mean to you?

Our students have four days to settle into their residence halls and apartments before classes begin with ample time to familiarize themselves with the greater St. Cloud community.

Our students have four days to settle into their residence halls and apartments before classes begin, providing twice as much time to familiarize themselves with the greater St. Cloud community. We have a captive audience that is highly influenced by what they see and hear in their first few days in their new surroundings. Let us help you promote your business/services to this important group of community members.

We would like to invite you to become a sponsor of the St. Cloud State University Orientation program. Sponsors support our students and the Orientation program in many ways,  including:

  • Donations of product and gift cards
  • Event sponsorship, like our annual Ice Cream Social, Huskies Fun Run/Walk and more
  • Items, such as the T-shirts given away to all new students
  • Other sponsorship opportunities include general monetary donations to support the overall program

Sponsors will receive recognition of their support through:

  • Orientation printed materials, with runs of more than 4,000 copies
  • Logos in our SCSU 101 presentation, with an audience of nearly 2,000 students
  • Recognition at our annual Opening Ceremony, with an audience of more than 2,000 students
  • Signage at Orientation events throughout the four days, including Parent/Family sessions

Please contact our office at 320-308-6075 or advising@stcloudstate.edu to schedule a meeting. Orientation staff are available to meet on campus (Centennial Hall 366) or at your location.

Remember

New students get their first exposure to life at SCSU and in the greater St. Cloud community during Orientation.

Newly independent students look to the local community for shopping, entertainment & services on their own.

Students are moving to St. Cloud from across the state, region & world and have not yet formed brand loyalties.

A research study by Nationwide shows that 40% of college students’ spending is discretionary – meaning it’s being spent on technology, entertainment, clothes and dining out.
