Huskies First Four

Orientation Leaders

Thanks to all of the students who participated in our group interviews in March.

  • We found a great team of students to welcome new Huskies to campus!
  • Training for Orientation Leaders, PACK Leaders and Coordinators will be 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 22 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14.
  • All Orientation staff will participate in the full Huskies First Four: Days (orientation) schedule, held Aug. 17-20

Orientation Leaders introduce new students to life at St. Cloud State.

Who are likely Orientional Leaders?

  • Student leaders
  • Student-athletes
  • International students
  • Adult learners/non-traditional students
  • University Ambassadors
  • Peer Mentors
  • Students who want to be more involved in campus

They are involved in the University Program Board, honorary societies, student government, fraternities and sororities, international clubs, education abroad, choir and more.

Easily identifiable in their neon shirts, Orientation Leaders work with first year, transfer and adult students. They are at major orientation events, from Opening Ceremony to Academic Orientation, Atwood After Dark to Saturday orientation groups. Over the summer, new students will get a call and email from their Orientation Leader to introduce themselves and allow you the opportunity to ask questions before your arrival to campus in August.
