Huskies First Four Days is St. Cloud State's required official orientation program for new students prior to fall and spring semesters. Your first days on campus are the perfect time to meet people and get to know campus.
We know how important the first days and weeks of the semester are to you and your success.
We encourage you, and all new students, to continue participating in events to meet other students, learn more about St. Cloud State and find your way to connect with the Huskies community.

Our online (self-paced) Huskies First Four track is a D2L Brightspace course called "Huskies 1st 4: New Student Orientation." Students will have the opportunity to complete all of their required orientation programming on their own schedule.
The full course must be completed between Sept. 1, 2022.
Students who choose this track are welcome to attend any events of the live track events between Aug. 18-21.
We offer two different ways to complete your Huskies First Four orientation, and you get to choose! Registration for Huskies First Four/Orientation is open!
Our live track offers two days of on-campus and virtual activities designed to help new first year and transfer students living in our residence halls get acclimated to the St. Cloud State campus and community.
All students who attend will receive their official St. Cloud State orientation T-shirt and opportunities to settle into campus before the semester starts.
St. Cloud State University holds as paramount the health, safety and welfare of every member of its community. St. Cloud State University, however, cannot guarantee a COVID-19-free environment. Unfortunately, the risk of COVID-19 exposure exists in all public places where people are present. Students, faculty and staff who are present on the physical campus of St Cloud State University, may contract COVID-19; illness, injury or death is a possible result. St. Cloud State University is taking all recommended steps to mitigate this risk, but we cannot categorically guarantee you will not get sick. Minimizing the risk of COVID-19 infections (or any other spread of disease) at St. Cloud State University is a shared responsibility. Every member of our community – including you – must do their part to protect the pack.
Husky Health Check
We ask that everyone planning to enter campus help protect the health and safety of our community against COVID-19 by conducting a Husky Health Check before coming to St. Cloud State each day. The Husky Health Check is an overall self-evaluation of a person's current health.
The Husky Health Check will help individuals identify if they are experiencing the following:
Please stay home if you are feeling ill. Reduce your risk of catching or spreading illness, stay home if you feel sick and take care of yourself, even if your symptoms are mild. Avoid coming to campus and public transportation.
Distancing
It is still recommended that students, faculty and staff stay a husky apart (3 feet) in common areas and whenever possible. Common areas that may lead to close contact (within 6 feet) among other people, are areas such as weight rooms, group fitness studios, pools and saunas, courts and fields, walking/running tracks, locker rooms, check-in areas, parking lots and routes of entry and exit. In environments where students, staff, and faculty have designated areas to sit or be stationed, all are encouraged to maintain an environment where some extra spacing between people can be maintained.
Wash your hands often, with soap and water. Wash for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol.
Masking
Whenever St. Cloud State has implemented a masking mandate for the campus, all persons on campus must wear a mask at all times when indoors in common areas—regardless of their vaccination status. Signs will be posted indicating that masks are required whenever there is a mask mandate in effect on campus.
At times when there is a mask mandate on campus, St. Cloud State University employees who staff events will ask people who are not complying with the mask mandate to put on a mask. If anyone refuses to put on a mask when asked to do so, that person will be asked to leave the building they are in. If the person refuses to leave the building, St. Cloud State University employees will call Public Safety to address the matter.
When there is not a mask mandate in effect on campus, anyone who wishes to wear a mask is encouraged to do so if they wish.
Our online (self-paced) Huskies First Four track is a D2L Brightspace course called "Huskies 1st 4: New Student Orientation." Students will have the opportunity to complete all of their required orientation programming on their own schedule.
