Emergency Preparedness: COVID-19

Bring Huskies Home - Wash Your Hands | Wear a Mask | Social Distance

Welcome Huskies to a clean, safe campus!

We are excited to Bring Huskies Home, and maintaining the health and safety of the campus community is critical to St. Cloud State’s welcome-back plans for fall 2020. We are working hard to provide a clean, safe environment for our campus community to teach, learn, live and gather. We care about each other and encourage shared responsibility for adherence to state and federal guidelines.

While on campus all individuals will follow Basic personal health practices outlined by the Center for Disease Control and Minnesota Department of Health, the Minnesota State system office and other leaders. They include:

  • Wear a cloth facemask
  • Maintain a distance of 6 feet between yourself and others
  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
  • Frequently wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer (Sanitizer dispensers will be at key entrances to campus buildings and customer service counters.)
  • Stay home if you are ill.

University maintenance personnel trained in use of cleaning and sanitation processes and products are maintaining a healthy, safe campus environment by daily cleaning and disinfecting surfaces from floor to ceiling in classrooms, common use areas, restrooms, lobbies, customer service areas and gathering spaces, with specialized disinfecting in special areas such as the Campus Medical Clinic and food preparation and service areas. Individuals are encouraged to keep their personal work and living spaces clean.

Students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus can be assured that St. Cloud State University facilities are maintained through guidelines recommended by the CDC and Minnesota Department of Health to ensure your health and safety.
