ACT Prep

We understand the important role the ACT plays in college admissions. Properly prepared students are more likely to perform to their highest potential.  Our courses are offered in a variety of settings that help students prepare for the ACT.

ACT Live-Online Blitz Dates

Cancellation Policy

  • Requests for cancellations must be in writing and emailed to register@scsutraining.com
  • If a written cancellation is received any time prior to one week before the first day of the session, a full refund will be issued.
  • If a written cancellation is received within one week or after prior to the first day of the session, a refund, minus a 10% processing fee, will be issued.

Textbook

Students receive "The Real ACT Prep Guide" as part of their course materials. It includes three practice tests and repeat questions from the previous version. Students also are given online access to review questions that were not recycled into the new textbook.

ACT Blitz - Classroom or Live-Online

The ACT Blitz is an intensive test prep program that provides students with the tools they need to prepare for the ACT. The ACT Blitz is offered during the academic year to prepare students to reach the test date of their choice at peak performance. These courses meet once per week, allowing time to practice new skills during the week.  Our multi-week format of the ACT Prep Course leads to greater opportunities for learning and interaction with our expert instructors. Courses are conveniently scheduled in the weeks leading up to the most popular ACT dates and include 16 hours of instruction.

Instruction covers all math and verbal skills tested on the exam. We use actual test questions to show just how the ACT tests skills.

ACT Blitz classes are offered at St. Cloud State University's Welcome Center and online, giving you the option to choose the format and schedule that works best for you.

Classroom

Our classroom programs give you the familiar experience of working within a traditional classroom setting. Classes are held at the St. Cloud State Welcome Center, located at 355 Fifth Ave. S., St. Cloud.

Live-Online ACT Blitz Prep Course

Live-online classes offer the same great program as the traditional ACT prep class with the added flexibility of attending class from anywhere or at any time.   Our virtual classroom provides you with the opportunity to interact in real-time with our expert instructors with the added benefit of watching recordings of your class sessions at your convenience for up to 30 days after the course ends.

The Live-Online ACT Blitz is offered online using Adobe Connect, a free browser plug-in. All you need are a high-speed Internet connection, speakers or head phones, and Adobe Flash Player, which can be downloaded for free.

Course materials are delivered to your home, or arrangements can be made for you to pick them up at St. Cloud State's Welcome Center. We recommend registering at least four business days in advance of the class start dates to ensure timely delivery of your package.

Who should take the ACT Blitz Class?

The ACT Blitz is ideal for students who need an intensive preparation program during the academic year. These courses meet once per week, allowing students to also focus on their school work.  

Students generally take the ACT during their junior year of high school. This course is ideal for rising juniors who may be taking the test for the first time and for those high school students who have already taken the exam but wish to improve their scores.

ACT Spring/Summer Institute

The ACT Spring/Summer Institute consists of 20 hours of classroom instruction covered in an intensive one-week format. The Summer Institute features instruction from an ACT test preparation expert and extensive online review tools. Our comprehensive program emphasizes the ACT test components:  Test Taking Strategies, Question Formats, Math, English, Reading Comprehension and Science Reasoning.  

Students receive in-depth review of the exam materials, insight into strategies for succeeding on standardized tests, and a comprehensive study plan. Class sessions use real test questions to show just how these skills are tested. The course fee includes all classrooms and online sessions and course materials.

Students also receive access to online review sessions and open office hours in the time leading up to fall exam dates. The interactive, one-hour online review sessions allow students to participate and ask questions of our expert test prep instructors. The live-online review sessions are also recorded - students can still benefit even if their schedule doesn't allow live participation. Review sessions will be scheduled between the end of your course and the fall test dates.

Who should take the Spring/Summer Institute?

The ACT Summer Institute is ideal for students who need an intensive preparation program during the summer. This one-week institute is delivered over four consecutive days and requires students to continue to practice their skills in the weeks and months leading up to the exam. Students are expected to actively participate in class and in the online review sessions.

Students generally take the ACT during their junior year of high school. This course is ideal for rising juniors who may be taking the test for the first time and for those high school students who have already taken the exam but wish to improve their scores.
