The annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration
honors the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
On this day we commemorate Dr. King's dream of
a multiracial nation united in justice, peace, and reconciliation.
Instead of ONE day of service and community building, this year's MLK Community Celebration will be a series of COVID-safe community events on Saturday (1/15/2022) for the family, Sunday (1/16/2022) for praise and worship, and Monday (1/17/2022) for our Keynote speaker and main event. Unfortunately, there will be no breakfast this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Celebrate Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by submitting visual art, essay, or spoken word pieces inspired by his work. St Cloud and border school district students are invited to creatively express their thoughts and reflections on his legacy. Create either a visual, written, or spoken word piece that expresses your understanding of the quote and questions specific to your age group. Work exhibits at the 9th Annual MLK Everyday Community Celebration.
The Dexter R. Stanton Essay and Visual Art Contest
