I completed my B.A. in Anthropology with an Archaeology emphasis as well as my M.S. in Counseling and Student Affairs at Minnesota State University Moorhead. I have a Ph.D. in Education (concentrating in Higher Education) from George Mason University. I love working with new students, particularly in advising and orientation contexts! I enjoy traveling, eating really good food, reading, downhill skiing, and watching old shows on Netflix.

What's your best memory at St. Cloud State?

My favorite memory at St. Cloud State was the New Student Convocation – seeing all of our new students in their college T-shirts high five-ing Blizzard as they made their way into Ritsche Auditorium was really fun. And then seeing the Deans welcome their new students and get everyone excited for the new year-it was awesome!

What advice would you give a new student as they transition into St. Cloud State?

Keep in mind that everyone gets used to new places/experiences at different paces. Here at St. Cloud State, every new student has a Student Success Team that is comprised of an academic advisor, Career Center staff, a financial aid counselor and someone from Residence Life (for students living on campus) and Center for International Studies (for international students). We really want to make sure every student has a group of people who they can reach out to if they have any questions about St. Cloud State. Our mission is to help students succeed!
