Husky Workforce Development Endowment
What is the Husky Workforce Development Endowment?
SCSU promises in its Husky Compact to prepare students to be global citizens of the 21st century. To reinforce that promise, the Husky Workforce Development Endowment supports efforts to train students for the workforce and to create pipeline programs to encourage more students to obtain a university education that leads to higher-paying jobs.
How does the Husky Workforce Development Endowment help?
The Husky Workforce Development Endowment supports upskilling, re-skilling and degree completion for workers seeking additional educational opportunities. Funds can be used for a variety of workforce, pipeline and pathway programs, as well as scholarships and partnerships with employers and schools. Giving to the Husky Workforce Development Endowment supports the mentorships, internships, apprenticeships and experiential learning that students crave, while connecting them to area employers. Investing in our students and their workforce development opportunities improves graduation rates as well as job placement rates following graduation.
