Hello, Huskies!
What an exciting time to be a Husky! As a new member of #OurSCSU community, my first couple months on campus have been action-packed.
We helped students move in and start their next chapter during Huskies First Four, and enjoyed meeting alumni and friends at the Minnesota State Fair. On Sept. 24 we launched the Bennett D. Melin Family University Speakers Series, where actor Sean Astin discussed mental health with a sold-out Ritsche Auditorium. And of course, we just finished celebrating Homecoming 2026 with #OurSCSU community.
To say we've been busy at St. Cloud State University would be an understatement.
My first events as vice president for SCSU Advancement & Alumni Engagement have shown me how passionate this community is about our university, and I look forward to connecting with more alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends as we move forward. There's more to come, and we encourage you to stay connected with us through whichever means you are able — attending an event, supporting SCSU with a gift, updating your contact information so you can stay informed, and sharing your story or the success stories of other Huskies through the #OurSCSU website.
We also care what you think! The 2026 Alumni Survey is open through the end of October. By filling out the survey you will be eligible to win an iPad, and you will help us better serve and support our alumni. In addition, we encourage you to join us for Forward Together: An Inaugural Stewardship Gathering, where SCSU President Gregory Tomso will give a community update on the University. I hope you'll share your feedback with us whether you're an alum or another member of #OurSCSU community. Thank you for being so welcoming to this new Husky, and I can't wait to see what we do together.
Go Huskies!
