SATURDAY, AUGUST 23, 2014

8:00am - 4:00pm Residence Hall Move-In

Students living in the residence halls will receive information on their scheduled move-in time in early August from Residential Life.

9:00am - 5:00pm Orientation Check-In*

All new first year, transfer and adult students must check-in to get their personalized schedules and Orientation t-shirt! Just bring your SCSU ID card for easy check-in.
Students not arriving to St. Cloud on Saturday may utilize late check-in on Sunday from 8:15am - 9:15am.

11:00am - 6:00pm Welcome Picnic*

All new first year, transfer and adult students are welcome to join us for the annual SCSU Welcome Picnic. Each student who checks in to orientation will receive two free picnic passes for their family/friends. Additional tickets can be purchased at the picnic entrance. Students on a meal plan may eat at the picnic for their lunch and dinner meal.

Students are encouraged to attend workshops to prepare for the start of classes and learn more about the SCSU experience.

SCSU has made a commitment to double the number of students going abroad in the next five years. Learn how you can build an education abroad experience into your degree at SCSU, whether it's living in a castle in Alnwick, England, exploring Malaysia at Taylor's University, studying at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa or one of our other programs, see how study abroad can work for you!

American Indian Center

The American Indian Center staff provides assistance for students with financial aid, personal & academic concerns, tutoring, advising, housing & career development. The AIC concentrates on supporting American Indian students, but all students are welcome at the Center. Stop into the open house to meet staff, tour their facility and learn more about their programs.

University Honors Program (UHP)

Students admitted to the University Honors Program as well as those interested in learning more about Honors are welcome to stop into the Honors office to meet with advisors and program staff. Have questions about your fall schedule or transfer credits? Come chat with the Honors staff.

This annual SCSU tradition brings together President Potter, Mayor Kleis and Student Government leadership to welcome all new students to SCSU and kick-off the school year. Can't make it to campus? Check out our livestream of the event online through UTVS, the SCSU TV studio.

Students: you MUST wear your orientation t-shirt on Sunday (provided at check-in) and bring your SCSU ID card. We also recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated in the Minnesota heat!

MONDAY, AUGUST 25, 2014

This is the first day of classes. Be sure to check out our Information Tent outside on the Atwood Mall and Information Desks around campus for assistance finding your classes.

4:00pm - 6:00pm Adult Student Learner/Commuter Social

We welcome all new transfer students, commuters, adult student learners, student-parents and military/veteran students to join us for a social event. FREE bowling and food is provided, and staff will be on hand to answer questions about classes, schedules and getting involved.

10:00pm - 12:00 Late Night Target Shopping Event

Again this year SCSU students will have the opportunity for an exclusive, late-night shopping event with our community partner - Target! FREE buses run from Shoemaker and Hill Halls throughout the event to Crossroad Center's Target.
