New Student Orientation - Fall 2014

We encourage parents, families and partners to join us for Welcome Weekend activities. Some events are specifically planned with you in mind. We also suggest reviewing the Student Schedule for other opportunities to participate.

All new first year, transfer and adult students are welcome to join us for the annual SCSU Welcome Picnic. Each student who checks in to orientation will receive two free picnic passes. These can be used for students who do not have meal plans, or for family/friends. Additional tickets can be purchased at the picnic entrance.

11:00am, 1:30pm & 4:00pm Parent, Family & Friends Program
All families, parents and partners of new SCSU students are encouraged to join us for a session just for you! Understand how SCSU will work to support your student, what the transition may look like, and strategies to help your son, daughter or partner be successful!
Atwood Memorial Center, Cascade

12:30pm and 3:00pm Athletics Parent/Family Orientation
The transition from high school to college is a major event for any student. Add to that the expectations and demands of varsity athletics, and it can sometimes be overwhelming. This presentation by Director of Athletics Heather Weems is intended to help parents understand the collegiate athletics experience in an effort to support their student-athletes’ success, and to provide a Q & A session regarding the athletics program in general.
Atwood Memorial Center, Theatre

We ask that families find a chance to say good-bye to their students by 7:00 PM when the student-only programming begins.

Please consider joining us again for Celebrate! St. Cloud State and Family Weekend at SCSU! Details & a full schedule are available at:
