Orientation at SCSU starts with your Advising & Registration Day and continues through Welcome Weekend & Husky Kick-Off!
Please check out the Student Schedule as well as information specific for Transfer & Non-Traditional students. We look forward to meeting you, and our staff will be available to answer your questions and provide resources to support you in your academic journey.
The Fall 2014 Welcome Weekend Schedule will be updated throughout the spring. Know that we're making plans for another outstanding weekend!
In addition to Welcome Weekend (Orientation) programming, SCSU has the following new student program requirement:
Respect and Responsibility Program
As a St. Cloud State University student, you are now part of a vibrant and diverse campus community. To help foster a welcoming and safe community, we require that all new students complete the Respect and Responsibility program as part of their ongoing Orientation. You will receive more information on part one and two of the program through your HuskyNet e-mail account. If the program is not completed by the deadline noted in the email a hold will be placed on your registration for the next semester.
Part One: Informed on Sexual Assault is an online educational course that addresses the issue of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and dating violence on the college campus. You will receive an email sent to your HuskyNet account from the Women's Center with instructions and the code needed to access this course. We encourage you to complete this course prior to classes starting if possible.
Part Two: Community through Diversity is a one-hour long on-campus workshop on creating a caring and respectful community. This program is available for students who attend Spring New Student Orientation as part of the day's program. Students who do not attend this workshop during Orientation must register and attend a workshop offered during spring semester.
For more information on the Respect and Responsibility Program, visit www.stcloudstate.edu/sld/respect.aspx and if you have questions about Part Two, Community through Diversity, please e-mail email@example.com.
All new entering students are charged a fee for Orientation at SCSU.
Students needing an accommodation to participate in the Welcome Weekend activities should contact the First Year & Transition Programs office at: firstname.lastname@example.org or (320) 308-2941. Please allow a minimum of one week advance to accommodate your request.
