Overall Program/Service Statistics
SCSU Spring 2006 Scientific Survey Volunteer Stats:
-
According to a scientifically telephone study conducted by the Spring 2006 SCSU Student Survey of 502 SCSU students, estimates indicate that between spring 2005 - spring 2006 those students surveyed (given a range of hours to choose from) provided between 29,928 hours and 58,440 hours of volunteer service or service-learning to the community. Given that this is a random sample of our student body, we can estimate that among approximately 15,000 students at SCSU there are between 897,840 and 1.75 million volunteer service hours students provide to their communities each year.
