Hate crimes and acts of bias-motivated vandalism are being investigated by St. Cloud State University Public Safety and have been reported to the St. Cloud Police Department. Public Safety and law enforcement personnel are working together in these investigations.
Your assistance is sought in efforts to determine time frames of the incidents and to identify and hold accountable the responsible person(s).

You are also encouraged to report any potentially relevant information to the St. Cloud Police Department – “911” for emergencies; or, (320) 251-1200 (non-emergencies).
At 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, Public Safety received a report of the presence of a drawing on foam card stock posted in a women’s restroom, main floor, Atwood Memorial Center. The foam card is approximately the size of a small index card and the diagram on the card is that of a Klu Klux Klan hood including a burning cross symbol.
In a separate incident, at 4:30 p.m., this same date, Public Safety received a report of the presence of a swastika scratched on a stall’s door in a men’s restroom, main floor, Stewart Hall.
The posted card and the damage to property constitute a threat to the safety of our students and the security of our campus community and are hurtful to our entire educational community. Everyone is encouraged to be vigilant concerning campus and individual security.
