order to defray some of the costs the university incurs in offering
Family Weekend, a fee of $15.00 is charged for each individual
attending (SCSU students are free). This registration fee covers
your attendance at all events unless otherwise indicated, including the Welcome from the SCSU president Earl Potter followed by Comedic Magician Peter Boie, food and refreshments,
use of the campus facilities, and on-campus parking (excluding Parking Ramp). If your
student is not on a meal plan, supper at Garvey can be purchased for $5.25.
Reservation requests that reach the University Program Board
department by September 23, 2008 will be confirmed via e-mail.
Ticket InformationTickets are required for admission to events as indicated in the "Family Weekend Schedule" section. There may be additional charges for the events indicated; please refer to the Registration page for details. Seating capacity is limited for these events. Reservations are based on the online submission date. Please be sure to indicate your preference for ticketed events on the reservation form. Do not forget to order tickets for your SCSU student for all ticketed events they plan to attend.
Registration PacketsRegistration materials, including tickets, nametags and a full schedule of all weekend events and their locations, will be available at the registration area for pickup upon arrival.
Refunds for CancellationsThis reservation is not subject to any refund and shall bear no cash value. No refunds, no exchanges except as provided herein, event date & time subject to change. All rights reserved. St. Cloud State University reserves the right, without refund of any portion of the ticket price, to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed disorderly or fails to comply with the terms and conditions contained herein.
ParkingParking passes are not required for the weekend. All lots are open to the public. However, if you choose to park in the new parking ramp, there will be a $1 per hour/$8 per day charge. Since emergency vehicles must have immediate access to campus buildings at all times, please do not park in marked fire lanes or loading areas. For safety reasons, the university must strictly enforce its policy of towing cars parked in these zones. Towing will be at the owner's expense. Please visit the Department of Public Safety website for any questions: www.stcloudstate.edu/publicsafety/ **NEW as of 9/17/08 - Parking will be available in L-Lot (located right across the street from Atwood Memorial Center and next to Garvey Commons) and B-Lot (located between Garvey Commons and Benton Hall). Lots will be open for families to use. CAUTION: there is a limited amount of spaces and they will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. DiningThe Saturday Family Weekend brunch (9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Atwood Cascade Room) and Saturday Supper (5 p.m. - 7 p.m. in Garvey Commons) is included in the registration fee. For other meals, please visit area restaurants .

SmokingAll on campus living areas, including student rooms, are smoke-free environments. Smoking is not permitted in any university academic and administrative buildings. Students and guests are expected to place cigarette butts in the receptacles provided in various areas outside.
Alcoholic BeveragesSt. Cloud State University does not consider the use of alcoholic beverages by students necessary to the process of higher education. While students who are of legal drinking age under the laws of Minnesota may consume alcoholic beverages off campus, all students are reminded that their behavior must be appropriate. SCSU prohibits the use, possession or distribution of any controlled substance or drugs and/or drug paraphernalia on university premises; and prohibits the use, possession or distribution of alcohol on university premises. It is the policy of the university that students who possess or consume alcoholic beverages on state property will be subject to university disciplinary action and may be subject to criminal prosecution.
