Other Style Considerations

The appropriate usage of our name is St. Cloud State University (not St. Cloud State). However, if you are quoting someone, especially someone from outside the university community, pay close attention so that you can use the name as it was spoken.

If desired, you may follow the first use of our full name with (SCSU), then use the acronym for successive mentions. In a possessive form, spell out our full name: St. Cloud State University's identity.

The correct spellings for the St. Cloud State University team names are "Husky" (singular) and "Huskies" (plural).
