Introducing UChoose Self-Referral

Have you ever wondered?

What went wrong after a night of drinking? How to avoid negative consequences (e.g., hangovers, missing class, getting into fights, going to detox) from drinking? How alcohol works? How to figure out your blood alcohol content and what it means?

Join us for a fun and interactive presentation that will answer these questions and many more. The presentation is free and you will receive a customized blood alcohol card and other information to help U-Choose what you want from your alcohol use.

The presentation can also be scheduled for groups. Feel free to check out the SR program to determine if you want to schedule a program for your organization or team.

e-CHUG and e-TOKE assessment tools

You can access the e-CHUG and e-TOKE on-line assessment tools via the images and links here.

e-CHUG on-line assessment tool  e-TOKE on-line assessment tool

e-CHUG on-line assessment tool - The e-CHUG is an confidential and free service to St. Cloud State University Students.  It is an evidence-based, dynamic, on-line alcohol intervention and personalized feedback tool developed by counselors and psychologists at San Diego State University.

Drawing on Motivational Interviewing (Miller & Rollnick, 2002) and Social Norms feedback theories (Haines & Spear, 1996), the CHUG is designed to motivate individuals to reduce their consumption using personalized information about their own drinking and risk factors. The e-CHUG was designed, and is updated with the most current and reliable research available.   It is designed to give important feedback and engage students in a fun way.

It will use your personal data to tell you “How many cheeseburgers you drank last month?” Or “How many MP3s you drank last semester?”

e-TOKE on-line assessment tool - The e-TOKE is a similar online tool.  It is designed to reduce marijuana use among college students. Using social norms and motivational interviewing approaches it provides personalized feedback about students’ behavior and risk factors.
