TLTR Notes for 2/29/2008

• Kristi discussed-

A. Status of Respondus Lockdown Browser software available from Office of Chancellor (OoC):
-Continuing studies is not interested in it at this time.
-Sent to TPR committee (No response yet)
B. Office of Chancellor has some enterprise wide funds and has established a cross functional    advisory committee to evaluate proposals form OoC staff. (Kristi is a member)
C. Nearing deadline (3/12/08) for SCSU proposals for campus specific OcC funds Kristi will continue to solicit proposals.

5.4.2 Classroom Resources -George has update information with the suggestions made and posted to the website. Please view and contact George with any input.

• Continuation of Technology Plan review

5.21 Digitization-Suggestions

• In the background, remove first bullet (both audio and video)
• Add a section on Intellectual Property in the introduction, a reference to copyright issues
• As a Goal add plan for transitioning older media (floppy disks, etc.) to new media (CD, DVD, etc.)

5.24 Emerging Technologies-Suggestions

• This is being done but there may be a need to make this systematic.
• Two issues; collection of emerging information and who is already working on emerging specific technologies.

5.9 Desktop Computing Overview- Revised draft will be posted to website.

• Will add in analysis of old goals and put in new goals

5.9.1 Desktop Computing Hardware- Revised draft will be posted to website.

• May want to add in a section on disposal  of hardware.

5.9.2 Desktop Computing Software-Revised draft will be posted to website.

• A suggestion was made to add a goal to work with MnSCU on licenses.
• A suggestion was made to add; continue to review and publish standardizing software.
