Brenda Wentworth was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She received her BA degree in theatre from Fredonia State University in Fredonia, New York; her MA degree in theatre from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina; and her PhD in theatre from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. She has taught theatre in Illinois, Georgia, Missouri, Texas and Minnesota. Brenda was formerly the costume designer for the St. Cloud State theatre program. She taught courses in Costume History, Design and Construction, as well as Stage Makeup. Unfortunately, she had to change duties for health reasons. Now she teaches Directing, Script Analysis, Theatre History, and Acting.

Brenda continues to direct productions for the theatre program’s season, often selecting classical works as well as new plays. She has also performed, directed, and costumed in summer stock companies from North Carolina to Texas. She has also been the Artistic Director for Theatre l’Homme Dieu in Alexandria, Minnesota. Brenda continues to advise and research in clothing history.
