Happy Tenth Birthday, CineScope.
No, not the 1950s anamorphic lens company--the SCSU film club with a similar name. In 1997 Jason Thomas and fifteen fellow students formed this organization for film-lovers and their first feat was to bring the creators of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 to campus. Today, current CineScope members regularly stage their own irreverent mock-the-screen nights; they also make films and organize excursions to area screenings.
