PRAXIS II EXAMS: Paper-based
The Praxis Series assessments provide educational tests and other services that states use as part of their teaching licensing certification process. The Praxis II® tests measure general and subject-specific knowledge and teaching skills and must be passed in order to obtain a license to teach in Minnesota.
Fees and Registration
The fee for the Praxis II exams varies by exam and is listed on the Praxis web site (link listed below).
The Praxis II paper-based exam is given on specific national test dates:
- September 12, 2009
- November 14, 2009
- January 9, 2010
- March 13, 2010
- April 24, 2010
- June 12, 2010
- July 24, 2010
For paper-based Praxis testing, candidates must register directly through the specific testing company, not the Atwood Testing Center. In order to take the exam at St. Cloud State University in Atwood, candidates can register with a credit card in the following way:

If you cannot pay by credit card, download and complete a copy of the Praxis Registration Form (PDF) for paper-based and mail with the appropriate fees to the address listed on the form. Details for this process are located on the Praxis Web site listed below.
