ACT (American College Test): Paper-based

The ACT Assessment is used by many colleges and universities as an entrance exam. It consists of four multiple choice sections followed by an optional writing section.


Fees and Registration
The basic fee for the ACT exam is $31 (No Writing) and $46 (Plus Writing). These fees include score reports for you, your high school, and up to four colleges requested as part of registration.

Additional registration fees (add to the basic fee for your test option)

5th and 6th college choices

add $9.00 each

Telephone re-registration for repeat testers

add $12.00

 

Late fee (U.S. or Canada)
For registration or test date change submitted during the late period for a national test date.

add $20.00

Standby testing on test day (U.S. or Canada)

 add $40.00

International testing (other than the U.S. or Canada)

 add $25.00

  • By Mail
    • You can register for the ACT through the mail by completing the Registration Folder, which is available at most high schools or by requesting one to be mailed to you by filling out the information on the following Web site: /www.actstudent.org/forms/stud_req.html
