8:00 - 8:30: Continental breakfast (provided by CETL)

“The Generations and Technology Enhanced Learning”

9:00 - 11:00: Parlor sessions
Participants will rotate through all four parlors according to the schedule announced. Each parlor lasts 20 minutes.
Parlor A: A Day in the Life (of a Net Gen Student)*
Students: Will Imholte, Darrin Ronne, Pratik Singh
Students share how technologies and online sharing of information resources have become an integral part of their academic and social development. This will be conveyed through a demonstration of the tools used in students’ daily lives.
Voyageurs North
Parlor B: Social Networking*
Students: Kayla Maleitzke, Chris Peck, Chantell Shriver
“Social Networking” has transformed from simple profile networks to a whole new way of interaction. Students will present how their daily lives are affected by the new generation of “Web 2.0” social networking applications.
Voyageurs South
Parlor C: The Net Gen as Creators of Content*
Students: Joe Kieffer, Justin Maas
In the information age, content creation tools are readily available to students. As new technological opportunities arise, students find themselves motivated to generate information such as podcasts, documents and videos, etc. It is only with these tools that students are able to achieve new levels of content creation.

Parlor D: Open Content*
Students: Megs Maiyo, Christina Walcheski, Sam Welte
The unlocking of course content will be explored, examining the availability of content to non-students and also content that is made more accessible to students via alternative methods. Students will show prominent examples of open content, discuss the methods they use to find information and demonstrate how current course structure affects their access to information.
