Call for Presenters

As a part of TECH DAY, we are looking for faculty and staff volunteers who are interested in demonstrating the ways they are using technology. The show-and-tell exhibition at the event will be from 1-4pm for participants and volunteers alike to explore the various demonstrations at their own pace, and share valuable observations, insights, strategies and details regarding technology use on campus. We will work with you to help you showcase what you are doing.

You don’t need to be an expert in technology to show what you do; in fact, this is a way for you to have other people see what you do and learn from it, but also to give you ideas about how you can improve it.

We encourage any and all possible ideas of technology use. To help spark some ideas, potential topics to consider are:

  • Unique technology applications in your curriculum
  • Web conferencing
  • CAD and other design software
  • Facebook or YouTube
  • Virtual Computing Lab
  • Technology communication tools for students
  • 3D printing
  • Microscopes and other lab technology
  • Wikis or Blogs
  • Podcasting or iTunesU
  • PDAs and Mobile Devices

If your topic is not on this list, that's great! We would love to hear what it is. If you would like to volunteer or have questions, please contact CETL Director, Dan Wildeson at dlwildeson@stcloudstate.edu or (320) 308-1502.
