Course Redesign Academy for the Digital Age

A two-day workshop customized for SCSU.

Facilitator: Dr. Michael Truong, Executive Director,Office of Innovative Teaching & Technology in the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment, Azusa Pacific University.

When: Thursday-Friday, February 5-6, 2015, 8:30 – 4:30 pm

Where: Atwood Ballroom, AMC

 

A light breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Participants will:

  • Learn seven principles of undergraduate education,
  • Examine several technology tools (including various features of D2L) at “low tech” and a “high tech” levels, and
  • Work individually and in groups with Dr. Truong and the SCSU D2L Team to apply one or more of the above principles and tools to the design of one course each.
  • Upon completion of the Academy, participants will have successfully advanced their use of instructional technology to the next level.
