Employee parking

All university employees who regularly park on campus are directed to park in K lot throughout the day on Aug. 20i. In order to facilitate move-in day on campus, they are are encouraged to take advantage of the Husky Shuttle to access north campus from K-lot . The Husky Shuttle will stop every 10 minutes for pick-up/drop-off at Husky Hub/K-lot and the Wick Science building.

Morning beverages and breads will be available in the Husky Hub until 9:30 a.m.

Employees with disability parking passes should contact Public Safety at 320-308-3453 to verify the closest parking available to their destination.

CETL UbD Workshop

9:00-12:00       Special Workshop: Application of Backward Design Principles:

Miller Center, B31

Facilitators: Kate Pound, Kristin Bratt, Michael Rogers, Nancy Sundheim

Use the process of Backward Design to improve student learning in one topic you teach. You will use Enduring Understandings and Essential Questions as a means to frame a topic, and plan or rework an assessment to truly assess student understanding. You will then plan the order and sequence in which students learn specific skills and build understandings in your class or lab.

Participants have:

  • Learned seven principles of undergraduate education,
  • Examined several technology tools (including various features of D2L) at “low tech” and a “high tech” levels, and
  • Worked individually and in groups with Dr. Truong and the SCSU D2L Team to apply one or more of the above principles and tools to the design of one course each.
  • Successfully advanced their use of instructional technology to the next level.
