Location
With 1.4 million people, the city of Daejeon is the fifth largest city in Korea, and it is growing into an important transport hub of communication, technology and education. Only two hours south of Seoul, Daejeon offers a less crowded yet still diverse area of neighborhoods. Since Expo' 93, Daejeon has been promoted as the science and technology capital of Korea. A perfect place to explore Korean culture and history, Daejeon represents a union of historical presence, technological advance and cultural awareness. top

Living Accommodations
Exchange students will stay in university owned and operated residence halls. top
Selection
The student must have completed at least one year of continuous study at SCSU or another university. An interview will be required for placement. top
Program Costs and Financial Aid
Participating students will pay SCSU tuition, but all other applicable fees, including special course fees, international orientation fee, key deposits, books, and housing costs will be paid to the host university. Food, transportation (including air fare), and other travel is the responsibility of the student. top
Orientation and Calendar
Participating students have the option to study on this program for either fall or spring semester, the entire academic year, or the summer program. The deadline for the fall is November 1, April 1 for spring, and February 1 for summer. top
Woosong University: Summer Culture Program
Accommodation:
Students live in university dormitories. Breakfast and lunch are included, Monday through Friday.
Program Description:
The Summer Culture Program lasts for three weeks in July. Students will attend lectures in the morning and participate in cultural activities in the afternoon. In addition, there are several field trips during the program, allowing students to immerse themselves in Korean culture.
Costs:
Woosong tuition for participants will be waived. However, each participant is responsible for the weekend trips: US$350 for students from sister universities (St. Cloud State); US$1,500 for all others. Airfare, SCSU tuition, and personal expenses will be the responsibility of the student.
